SPECIAL EVENTS
Puuoro Maaori Waananga, Thursday 14 May, 10.30am to 12.30pm – an immersive cultural experience to learn about and engage in Maaori Puuoro, traditional wind instruments. Potions Class, Tuesday 26 May, 6-8pm – Louise is back with more potion fun. Create your own magic potion with charm, wax seal and scroll. Perfect for kids and adults alike. $20 per person.
Felted Scarves, Saturday 30 May, 9am to 3pm – Fibre artist Dianne Appleton will share an introduction to wet felting and you will make your own cobweb scarf and small artwork to take home. This is a workshop for adults. $90 per person.
Whaanau Art Night: Tuesday 9 June, 6pm to 8pm – A fun night to make art together as a family. We will work with a range of art materials in response to a creative invitation. By koha.
Leathercraft Workshop, Sunday 5 July, 10am to 3pm – Fern Reid from Whimsical Workshop will lead this introduction to leathercraft for 9yrs – adult. You will learn how to design a pattern, stamp, carve and dye leather and to assemble your piece with stitches and rivets. Take home a purse, pouch, belt or sheath for a knife. $100 per person

Mondays
Art for All, 10am to 12noon – a friendly open studio space. You are welcome to bring your own project or ideas or respond to a creative invitation. This group is primarily aimed at adults but children from 8yrs and up may attend with an adult. Casual drop in Mondays 10am to 12noon. $5 per person, per session.
Creative Kids – classes for 6-12yrs where we explore a range of visual and craft media. Grow your confidence, skill and imagination. $120 per term. Registration required – artstekauwhata@gmail.com

Creative Arts Therapy – for those experiencing anxiety, grief, living with trauma or just wanting to enhance your wellbeing. Individual sessions available by appointment with an ANZACATA registered creative arts therapist. We will discuss funding options with you.
Wednesdays
Knit & Natter, 10am to 12noon – a friendly and supportive gathering of knitters, crochet and embroidery artists. Bring your own project or get started with the needles and yarn on site. Casual drop in. By koha.

Craft and Communi-tea, 10am to 12noon at Meremere Hall – All are welcome for morning tea and crafting in Meremere. This group is currently exploring junk journals and book binding with JJ. Entry by koha.
Community Choir, 5.30pm to 6.45pm – Choir director Sandra invites along all adults who enjoy singing in the company of others. We sing a wide range of music nominated by the singers. No experience needed. All voices welcome. By koha

Weaving with Wendy, Casual – Flax artist Wendy Katipo meets regularly with a small roopu of weavers. They warmly welcome beginners who would like to learn and experienced weavers who would like to work in the company of others. Please phone to be connected with the group.
