The new season started at the beginning of September with the ceremonial FIRST Bowl being delivered by John Richardson the Clubs immediate-past President. Prior to that, the Club’s newest member Graeme Hulley delivered the kitty.
This is the first year that bowling has continued right throughout the calendar year with no breaks at all. We used to have to wait for the Green to dry out a bit, and use scrims to protect the soft surface and do Grass renovations etc. Now that the Green is competition-ready from day one, members have plenty of time to practice and be ready for competition events that start with the Club Championship Triples on October 31.
