In Week 8, our students took to the stage for a spectacular showcase, performing a diverse range of dance styles including K-Pop, kapa haka, Tahitian, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical jazz, and Cook Island dance.
A major highlight was the vibrant performance by our Filipino students, who shared their culture through an upbeat and infectious routine. Our haka group truly ‘took the roof off’ with their incredible energy, and our various dance troupes impressed the audience with both their technical talent and positive vibes.
It was a pleasure to welcome students from TKP as our audience, and we are already looking forward to hosting another community-wide show around Matariki.
A huge thank you goes out to our student Arts Leader, Oneli, and her dedicated committee. They have spent the last six weeks of their lunchtimes decorating the hall and running rehearsals to make this happen.
The Arts teachers are incredibly proud of all our aakonga for their hard work and creativity.
